Big blow for Australia as star player limps off the field, doubtful for Sri Lanka clash

Australia are sweating on the fitness of star bowler Mitchell Starc, who was seen limping off the field during his side’s practice session on Wednesday (October 27). He has been one of the finest fast bowlers for Australia and took two wickets in his team’s victory over South Africa in the ICC T20 World Cup.

As per an article in the New Indian Express, the pacer has sustained a leg injury. The left-arm pacer was away from cricket for six months before the T20 World Cup. Starc is prone to injuries and missed out on many important series due to fitness concerns. He was not a part of the T20 World Cup in 2016 and his absence has hurt Australia in the past.

Australia will take on Sri Lanka at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
