Babar Azam is like Sachin Tendulkar – Former Pakistan bowler

Virat Kohli has been compared to Sachin Tendulkar in recent years. The current India skipper is one of the best batsmen of his era and many feel he has the talent and time to break the records of the legendary Indian batsman across formats. However, former Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Asif believes Virat is nowhere near to great Sachin.

He feels Babar Azam is like Sachin Tendulkar of India. “Kohli is a bottom-hand player. He is doing well because of his fitness and it is supporting him. The moment he will face a decline, I don’t think Kohli can make a comeback. In fact, Babar is an upper-hand player like Sachin. His bat movement is fluent like Sachin. People say Kohli is better than Tendulkar. I say no. Virat does not even come close to Sachin. This is my opinion,” Asif said.

Asif was banned for seven years for his involvement in the infamous spot-fixing scandal during Pakistan’s 2010 tour of England. Asif played 23 Test matches and took 106 wickets He also bagged 46 wickets in the ODIs while his tally stands at 13 in the shortest format of the game.
