Babar Azam gives powerful speech after Pakistan’s win over India

Pakistan skipper Babar Azam delivered a powerful speech inside the dressing room after the Men in Green registered their maiden victory over arch-rivals India in the ICC T2O World Cup. The Babar-led side defeated India by 10 wickets at the Dubai International Stadium. The skipper and his opening partner, Mohammad Rizwan scored unbeaten half-centuries to help Pakistan upset India for the first time.

Congratulating his players for the exceptional performance, Azam told the teammates to avoid getting overexcited and focus on winning the World T20 title for Pakistan. In a video shared by the Twitter handle of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the Pakistan skipper further added that it was a team effort that led to a historic win.

Look, guys, this win was not a result of any individual performance. We gave a complete team performance and we do not have to let go of this. This is just a start, enjoy it, but do not get over-excited after beating India. We need to look ahead and our focus is to win the T20 World Cup. We will never be relaxed, just look to give your 100 percent. Please, do not get overexcited,” Azam said while addressing his teammates in the Pakistani dressing room.
