Always said never underestimate Pakistan – Shoaib Akhtar warns rival teams of Babar Azam led team

With Pakistan proving to be unstoppable in the ICC T20 World Cup, Shoaib Akhtar has warned the rivals. The Men in Green defeated Afghanistan in the last encounter on Friday despite lagging behind at one stage. Asif Ali came to the rescue and hit four sixes in the 19th over to seal the deal in his team’s favour.

Shoaib took to Twitter to praise the team and also warned the opposite numbers.

“Always said never underestimate Pakistan in this edition of T20 World Cup. They’re a solid force.
Heroics by Asif Ali. Dil khush ker dia. Keep going guys,” he wrote.

Earlier, Pakistan also defeated India and New Zealand in the global event. While India were thrashed by 10 wickets, the Kiwis had to pay the price for bowling poorly in the last few overs of the match. With just Namibia and Scotland left to face, Pakistan are sure of finishing with five consecutive wins in the group stage. They have already qualified for the playoffs.
