After Rahul Dravid’s noble gesture, India copy his style in Mumbai

Team India has copied Rahul Dravid’s style of appreciating the groundsmen for their work. On Monday, the national team donated Rs 35,000 to the Wankhede Stadium groundsmen after a convincing 372-run win over New Zealand on Day 4 of the Test match at the Wankhede stadium.

Indian players were happy with the work carried out by the chief curator and his team. The Virat Kohli-Rahul Dravid era started with a convincing Test series win against New Zealand.

Earlier in Kanpur, Rahul Dravid had donated Rs 35,000 to Green Park’s ground staff, led by Shiv Kumar, for preparing a sporting track for the first match against the visitors.

“I think it was good to finish the series as winners, came close in Kanpur, not able to get that last wicket, had to work hard here. This result seems one-sided, but right through the series, we were made to work hard,” India coach Rahul Dravid said.
