Virat Kohli has returned to form with the Asia Cup 2022, where he scored his maiden T20I hundred and 71st overall against Afghanistan. The former captain then played good innings against Australia and South Africa.
The management and former players have recently lauded the 33-year-old for his performances.
However, he was mocked by PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja for scoring a ton in a dead rubber against the Mohammad Nabi-led team.
He was comparing the treatment given to the Indian team and Babar Azam. Ramiz said that Virat’s century was the point of celebration for the Indians, and they completely forgot about the performance of the Men in Blue in the Asia Cup.
He then talked about Babar, who led his team to the tournament’s finale but was slammed back home.
The comment didn’t go down well with many fans and Salman Butt. “There was absolutely no need to take a dig. Aap relevant example bhi nahi de sakte. Vo duniya ka top player hain and is the third player to score 71 hundreds in international cricket. Raja is frustrated. Maybe he has some news that will be revealed after a few days. He shouldn’t have said those things,” said Butt.
