A disgraceful act of aggression from Asif – Afghan ambassador slams Pak player for gun celebration

Asif Ali is in fine form in the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup. He has played two crucial knocks for Men in Green in the UAE. After his short but impactful innings against New Zealand, he hit four sixes in the 19th over to lead his team to win against Afghanistan.

His gun celebration has become the talk of the talk. While some fans have compared his style with MS Dhoni, who once celebrated in a similar way, few have liked his way of celebrating a win.

However, M. Ashraf Haidari, who is Afghanistan ambassador to Sri Lanka has slammed the player for pointing his bat like a gun towards Afghan players.

“A disgraceful act of aggression from Pakistan’s prominent cricket [email protected] , pointing his bat like a gun towards Afghan players, who gave him and his teammates a tough time. Above all, sports is about healthy competition, friendship and peace. Time for war will come,” he wrote.
